 Galen
Gentry became an EMT in 1980, climbing the certification ladder
through EMT-I, EMT-D and realized his long time goal by becoming an
MICT in 1998.
He
helped found the Wabaunsee County Ambulance Service in 1983 and was
the Director until his death.
Galen
was active in local, region and state activities, serving with the
Flint Hills Critical Incident Stress Management Team and as a Director
of Region IV.
On
April 4, 1999, Galen was finishing an ambulance transport when he
experienced chest pain, was admitted to the hospital and passed away.
